In 1889 the club in Hartford held a reunion, formed a veteran's association, and planned a trip to Washington, D.C. to attend President Benjamin Harrison's inauguration. The correspondence in this collection are from men who wished to join the excursion; these were addressed to William B. Clark, the treasurer of the club. The scrapbook, created by Henry P. Among the memorabilia is a Wide Awake campaign ribbon dated 1904 and several circulars with images of the caped marchers holding their torches.
